Greetings and Journey On

LIVE~ LAUGH~ LOVE

Hello from Spunky Cat (background) and his "puppy" Eli, who is 8 months old! I am trying to get the hang of blogging, but I am not the brightest bulb in the porch lights with it so far 8 - ). . .

Eli came from a local rescue. Sometimes people change an animal's name when they adopt. I looked up "Eli" in a name book and found it means "uplifting". Sounded like it fit to me---Eli is such a clown! I loved him on sight.

After going through the Journey On relaxation exercise, I felt uplifted! I enjoy yoga so this tape was very helpful. Self-direction of circulation does help to relax the muscles. It's been really hot and muggy here so warming up my hands didn't sound like a great idea, at first. I enjoyed the journey! I will try it on those cold days when my hands are cold and I can't get enough blood to test my glucose level ; - )

  1. I like your "Live, laugh, and love" slogan. It is very positive and we should all do those things daily. Thanks for the reminder! Your dog is beautiful. Thanks for the picture.

  2. Hi Cindy,
You crack me up! I saw the pic and thought Spunky Cat was the name of the dog :)
I manage a veterinary hospital and was deeply involved with our local animal shelter for years (I have taken a step back for the moment as burn-out was becoming an issue). Your slogan is the best! We do need that reminder now and again.
    Have a great one!

  3. I'm glad you found the relaxation practice enjoyable. I personally felt very refreshed and ready to continue my day.

I usually get the same feeling from Yoga as well. I do it at least once a week. It not only helps my mentality, but it's great for my flexibility, core strength, and endurance as well. I had to add it to my weekly workout regimen.

Eli looks like a joy to have! I love those big ears!! What kind of breed is he??

  4. Hi Cindy,

I love your picture of Eli. He looks like he has quite a personality! :)
I too enjoyed "The Journey" It was very relaxing, and something I will add to my list of evening "winding down" techniques. I have often considered taking Yoga classes. I practiced ballet for a great deal of my life and I would like to maintain my flexibility, not to mention all of the added health benefits that goes along with it.
I look forward to reading more of your blogs!

    Best,
    Autumn

  5. Hello Cindy,
I love your dog! He is gorgeous, What a great name too. I am sure you enjoy him.
Yes, the Journey was relaxing. I will be doing that again.
Yesterday I rode all over town doing errands, but, today I had to take a bike break to try to figure all this blog stuff out. It is making a new wrinkle in my brain.
Just looking at your cat sitting in that chair with its paws folded on top of each other makes me relax. Thanks for the pic.
Keep blogging, we will get it soon!
